Powerful self-dumping suspended guard magnets with mechanical treatment system ensure qualitative removal of large strong magnetic inclusions from material flows transported by belt conveyors.
Material transported by a conveyor enters in the magnetic field area of the guard magnet, under the effect of which strong magnetic inclusions, locating in the material flow, are drawn to the guard magnet and held at a surface of rubber-fabric belt magnetic system rotating around it. Metal inclusions are dumped during their traveling outside the limits of the magnetic field by dumping ribs fixed on the belt.
Research and Production Company “ERGA” produces self-dumping suspended guard magnets of SMPA series (with ‘standard’ magnetic systems), SMPA-M (with more powerful magnetic systems) and SMPA-TM series (comparable with electromagnetic guard magnets by their power). Self-dumping suspended guard magnets not requiring frequent attention from service personnel, are often applied in automatic and automated lines.
Guard magnets of SMPA-TM series are intended for operation in extremely difficult conditions – due to the powerful magnetic systems, they are capable to remove especially large metal inclusions with the weight up to 40 kg from material flows the and provide effective recovery even at a high speed of material transportation (with belt speed to 3 m/s).
