ASMK magnetic separator is designed for inline automatic cleaning of directed flow of various bulk and granulated materials from ferromagnetic contaminants.
ASMK rod systems are usually used when there is a possibility of installing new equipment in an existing process line with structural modifications of the product transportation scheme. Magnetic separator of ASMK series is installed in vertical pipelines, chutes and bulk discharge outlets.
ASMK separators are based on the principle of ferromagnetic tramp recovery with NdFeB magnetic rods.
The double-row system of stainless steel rods is the main operating part. The separator is designed as a stainless steel casing containing the product separation area, the ferromagnetic contaminants discharge area and electro-pneumatics area, as well as the guides, which support the separator’s working elements and ensure their horizontal movement. To achieve maximum separation efficiency and optimum distribution of the product as it passes through the magnetic separator the grids above the magnetic system (MS) casings are provided. They also prevent short-circuiting of MS casings from ferromagnetic tramp with a small cross section and length over 25 mm (wires, electrodes, etc.). A special compartment for electro-pneumatic equipment, connected with the remote control panel and performing the preparation and distribution of compressed air, is located in the rear part of the casing. The main remote control element is a versatile timer, which allows to set the optimum operation mode, i.e., to set the time interval between the processes of cleaning the MS casings from the ferromagnetic bodies extracted from the product.
ASMK separators are used for technological process automation or for increased content of ferromagnetic contaminants in the product. These separators can also be used when there is no access to the rod-type magnetic separators for their regular manual cleaning.
