Operation Principle

ERGA PVM wet high intensity separator (WHIMS) provides high recovery rate of minerals with low magnetic susceptibility in mining and mineral processing industries (tin, iron, manganese, diamond and gold-bearing ores, ilmenite sands, etc.) and in recycling (nonferrous alloy ores, etc.).

  • Unique equipment based on NdFeB

ERGA PVM patented design with closed magnetic circuit based on Nd-Fe-B ensures beneficiation of feebly magnetic ores and nonmetallic materials. Unlike electromagnetic analogs of roll and rotor types, ERGA PVM is characterized by higher energy efficiency, operational reliability, compact overall dimensions and absence of the necessity to cool the system.

  • Fine adjustment of separation mode

Capability to control water flows depending on the separation tasks allows for the recovery of high-quality magnetic concentrates or non-magnetic tailings. The installation of the second stage of ore dressing in one housing increases separation efficiency.

  • Increased magnetic intensity up to 1.7T

Increased intensity 1.7 T (1700 Gauss) on the operating surface allows for the recovery of low-magnetic fractions of ore and non-metallic materials: diamond and gold-bearing ores, iron, manganese, chromium, tin ores, ilmenite sands, aluminum slags, ferrochrome and ferrosilicon manganese.

  • Special magnetic system for wet separation technology

Application of PVM roll separators is cost-effective and efficient with wet process of beneficiation. The wet separation process and customized magnetic systems ensure processing of a wide range of fineness for coarse-grained (1-8 mm) or fine-grained (up to 1 mm) fractions to produce high-quality saleable magnetic concentrate.

  • Protection of operating surfaces

Wear-prone separator parts (bath, rolls) are made of special wear-resistant coatings. Separator covers are made of stainless steel, have increased reliability and wear resistance.

ERGA PVM wet high-intensity magnetic separators are custom-made in accordance with the requirements in the technical specifications. Ferromagnetic impurities are removed with MBS wet drum separators.
You can additionally order spare parts kit to ensure continuous operation of the equipment:
