Laboratory eddy current magnetic separator ERGA SMB-DM for separation of ore and nonmetallic materials by their electic conductivity
(Electrodynamic) magnetic drum separator based on Foucault currents ERGA SMB-DM for modeling processes of dry concentration of bulk ore and nonmetallic materials and conducting research in industrial and university testing laboratories.

A distinctive feature of SMB-DM separator is possibility of its application for separation of various mineral and industrial raw materials, in particular for separation of gold-bearing ores and placers. This field of application becomes possible due to the increased electrodynamic force, ensured by high magnetic intensity on the operating surface and high speed of the rotor up to 6000 rpm.

If strongly magnetic impurities must be removed, then it is possible to manufacture a complex solution with installation of BSMmagnetic drum separator prior to feeding to SMB-DM eddy current magnetic separators.

SMB-DM with adjustable settings of splitter position guarantees accurate separation of fractions by electrical conductivity. Magnetic drum rotation frequency and direction can be adjusted to select optimum mode for specific sizes of material.

Concentration of raw materials on SMB-DM separator is in automatic mode with minimum personnel involvement into the process.

SMB-DM separators and also complexes of dry magnetic separation on their basis can be designed as open type (can be used in small research laboratories and help to conduct visual control over the separation process) and enclosed type - in a sealed housing with external controls, which is the most suitable solution for large laboratories of industrial enterprises.

Simple and robust design with little maintenance ensures easy operation of SMB-DM laboratory separator. Infeed hopper with a vibrating feeder ensures uniform material feed to the drum. High-speed magnetic rotor divides material into conducting and non-conducting fractions and discharges them into discharge trays.
The scope of supply of magnetic separators includes support frames, infeed hoppers, vibrating trays, variable speed drives, containers for products of separation and optional spare parts kit.
