Operation Principle

ERGA SMVT-E5 eddy current magnetic separator provides recovery of fine nonferrous metal particles from nonconductive fractions in processing of raw materials. It is irreplaceable for getting additional profit and clean materials from MSW, cable or plastic waste, WEEE, cullet, scrap, tires, wood chips, slags.

  • Highly efficient NdFeB magnetic system

SMVT-E5 eddy current separator with eccentric arrangement of high-speed magnetic rotor with rotation frequency up to 5 000 rpm and increased magnetic intensity on the belt surface efficiently remove nonferrous metal particles and their alloys with size from 0.3 mm.

Eccentric rotor allows for fine setting of the product separation, as well as for prevention of accumulation of magnetic particles under the belt, thus preventing damage to the shell.

Unique patented Nd-Fe-B magnetic systems provide long-term efficient operation. Guaranteed period of magnetic systems properties, subject to operating rules, is 10 years.

  • Separation/cleaning efficiency up to 99,8%

Customized separation mode is selected depending on feed material. Unique patented system of splitters with accurate position adjustment guarantees precise separation of bulk materials into three streams: conductive, nonconductive and weakly magnetic fractions.

ERGA SMVT-E5 provides maximum extraction of conductive fraction with particle size ≥0.3 mm with separation and cleaning efficiency of infeed material up to 99,8%.

  • Touch Screen intuitive control and ergonomic design

All digital control is provided from the control panel, which is a 7-inch high-definition touch screen with user-friendly interface. In addition to settings of main operating parameters of the product, it is possible to save settings of separation parameters for every type of material.

The modern design of SMVT-E5 nonferrous metal separator makes its integration into the process line easy.

  • Easy assembly and operation

Smart design provides quick belt change, protects the magnetic rotor from tramp metal under the belt, simple design of bearing assemblies increases reliability and also guarantees maintainability of the magnetic rotor, which reduces equipment downtime and related costs.

ERGA specialists design and manufacture SMVT-E5 according to the order requirements. Strongly magnetic impurities must be removed from the separation materials by SMPR or SMPA suspended iron separators, SMB pulley iron separators BSM or drum separators prior to eddy current magnetic separators.
You can additionally order spare parts kit to ensure continuous operation of the equipment:

For this type of equipment there is an option of integrating REMOS remote monitoring system, providing monitoring of the separator status in real time. Available options:
